EFT is a simple, rapid and effective technique that relieves stress, anxiety, and other emotional and physical issues and patterning. It’s based on a synthesis of Chinese acupressure and cognitive restructuring. EFT or tapping on the endpoints of the body’s energy meridians sends a calming signal to the amygdala in the brain and counteracts the stress of an anxiety-provoking event. So, as we tap on our stress, we calm the hyper-arousal of the limbic system and amygdala, allowing the brain to go back online, which allows cortisol levels to decrease and the body relaxes.
