Join Bhante Chandasiri of Serenity Buddhists every Sunday between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. for meditation. Mindfulness practice is evidence-based through current research to support well being, stress reduction, and spiritual development. The monks who teach these sessions started their training at the age of 11 in Sri Lanka. Each session will be 30 to 40 minutes of guided meditation followed by a talk on Buddhist principles for extending the mindfulness practice into daily living. Time is allotted for questions and feedback on specific needs or challenges that one may encounter in mindfulness meditation. Offered on a love offering basis, with half the offerings going toward Unity of Sarasota’s Facilities Update Fund.
