Subtle Activism with Maureen McSweeney

Subtle activism is based on the principle of employing a spiritual practice, such as meditation, for the purpose of transforming social, political and/or ecological issues.  The transformative goal of subtle activism is to create some public good, versus the typical goal of meditation for personal transformation.  This workshop intends to create a subtle activism group who meditate together on a weekly basis to bring about the transformation of some social, political or ecological issue decided by the group.  It will include guided meditation, silent meditation on the shared intention, and sharing following meditation.  Some basic experience in meditation is required for participation.  This group is on a love offering basis, so that you give as you feel led.
