The Lord’s Prayer

Translated/Interpreted From the Aramaic Language of Jesus

Neil Douglas-Klotz—Prayers of the Cosmos

Abwûn d’bwaschmâja.

Our Father-Mother of the Cosmos, Birther of all radiance and vibration!

Nethkâdasch schmach.

Soften the ground of our being and carve out a space within us where your Presence can abide.  Focus your light within us—make us useful.

Têtê malkuthach.

Fill us with your creativity so that we may be empowered to bear the fruit of our purpose.  Create your reign of unity now.

Nehwê tzevjânach  aikâna d’bwaschmâja af b’arha.

Let each of our actions bear fruit in accordance with our desire.  Your one desire then acts with ours, as in all light, so in all forms.

Hawvlân lachma  d’sûnkanân jaomâna.

Grant what we need each day in bread and insight.  Endow us with the wisdom to produce and share what each being needs to grow and flourish.

Waschboklân chaubên  wachtahên aikâna daf chnân schwoken l’chaijabên.

Loose the cords of mistakes binding us, as we release others from the entanglement of past mistakes, and release the strands we hold of others’ guilt.

Wela tachlân l’nesjuna ela patzân min bischa.

Don’t let surface things delude us, but free us from what holds us back.

Do not let us be seduced by that which would divert us from our true purpose, but illuminate the opportunities of the present moment.

Metol dilachie malkutha wahaila wateschbuchta l’ahlâm almîn.

From you is born all ruling will, the power and the life to do, the song that beautifies all, from age to age it renews.

For you are the ground and the fruitful vision, the birth, power and fulfillment, as all is gathered and made whole once again.

Truly—power to these statements—may they be the ground from which all my actions flow.

Amên.

Amen.  In faith, I commit to this with my whole being.
