Hello, my name is David Bradshaw of My Idea Factory. Did you know 80% of adults say they want to write a book, but only 1% do? As a writer, editor and publisher for 30 years, I can help you create a series of memoirs to assemble your own autobiography.
Why? Two reasons: 1) because writing the story of your life will be transformational for you —
and 2) you are creating a cherished keepsake for your loved ones and posterity.
In class you’ll be prompted to write about one aspect of your life at a time, for at least two hours a
week. The goal is to compile a series of memoirs covering your lifetime into your autobiography.
Don’t wait! Now is a great opportunity to start writing your life review. Although challenging, it is
simplified with the support of small group of fellow writers.

Each week a new topic will be covered:
1. Your major life branching points
2. Your family and closest relationships
3. Your relationship and views on money
4. Your major life work or career
5. Your health and physical identity
6. Your spiritual life and values
7. Your experiences and ideas about death
8. Your future goals and aspirations

In between classes, students will be asked to write two typed pages of text related to the weekly
theme. Attendees will be provided with prompting questions to stimulate thinking. During each
session, participants will read their two pages in a small group (3-5 people) and receive encouraging,
supportive feedback from the other participants, who will also read their work and receive feedback.
